Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose

Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC) is odorless, free from black particles, and its color varies from white to almost white. Product is prepared from wood pulp/ cotton linter pulp. It is soaked in alkali and treated with MCA or SMCA. This reaction is known as etherification, converts cellulose to carboxy methyl cellulose.
